Technofest 2k9 - A grand success

Technofest 2k9 will stay as the most memorable and successful technical fest that has been conducted in our college. the response has been overwhelming and event a grand success. The paper presentations, fun events, Student Cinemas all received a great number of participants and spectators. Around 2000 members have participated in the events and cash prizes of over 15,000 have been won by various winners.

There were around 20 events conducted by students of various branches that entertained and left participants wanting for more. Events such as T3 warriors, Bowl out, Xpress sms were the events which dragged the most attention. T3 a class room cricket tournament was won by students of EEE of our college. Xpress sms, where the person who types the fastest sms wins, was also very famous with the crowd.

The biggest event of all was STUDENT CINEMAS, students enjoyed the short films that were being screened. Entries were received from students of various colleges. The short listed films were played and judged by industry professionals. CLOSED DOORS won the first prize.

On the whole this has been the biggest Technofest that we have seen our college in past couple of years. Hope we keep the spirit and enthusiasm running in the same way. The energy is not down already as we are already busy gearing up for the Cultural fest ABRINK , which will be held on march 6Th.

So guys, get ready for the cultural fest.....

Student Cinemas

Student Cinemas, in India there are two religions which are followed by almost all INDIANS. One being cricket and the other Films. These have been and always will be a part of every Indian. Its in our blood. No one teaches us cricket nor no one teaches us about films. We do inherit the passion and love for them. You got the passion for films?

Here is a chance for you to see where you stand. Make a short film or documentary on any topic of your choice, but make sure the message goes out positive ;)

Send us your work, we got few industry professionals coming by to judge your work. And here is the icing on the cake, there are cash prizes too... we are not talking of hundreds here it gonna be in way higher!!! So think you can awe the audience with your filmy magic, then hurry cos the last date is Feb 9th to send us your entries.

And that is not it, then there is trailer making, remember all those awesome trailer you see of the movies? It is no easy job guys, make your own trailer for your short film and send us. . . Keep it short but bang on target.

-All formats are accepted
-Fee per entry is Rs.100/-

SHORT FILM MAKING:

-All short films under any genre are accepted
-Maximum duration allowed is 10 min.
-All video formats are accepted
-Fee per entry is Rs.150/-
-Winners will be judged by Industry professionals.

ISBCSI Launched

The ISBCSI launch has been conducted successfully today with lots of enthusiasm and energy. The guests from CSI Hyderabad, Mr.P.Venkatesh Kumar,Chairman,CSI-Hyd and Mr.K. Raju,Vice-chairman were deeply impressed by the energy showed by the students in organizing this event.

The program started with the with a the lighting up of lamp, followed by a short prayer. then the formal inauguration was done by Mr.P.Venkatesh kumar by giving the CSI member certificate to the principal P.C.Rao . Then the certificates for the merit in various events were given away to the winners.

Then the guests were asked to speak and give some valuable advises. the guests spoke for quite some time giving the members great advices and tips. Then Chairman and principal were asked to speak. P.C.Rao sir was welcomed with a roaring crowd. electris entry led to power cut few times in between. ;)

Then President Kunaal naik spoke about the events planned under ISBCSI. He specifically mentioned about participating and learning in this process, not simply dreaming to learn everything through bookish knowledge.

There was also a project presentation by a second year student Kishore of IT on maintaining an online attendance register. the guests gave their valuable advice and correction to him. They also encouraged him to keep working harder to achieve success.

Momentos were presented to the guests after this.

And there it was ... a happy ending to a hectic and intresting launch of ISBCSI.

Now we can relax!!! ;)
